Bloomfield Memorial Day Parade - Monday, May 26, 2008!

The Raiders Cheerleaders and Coaches will participate in the 2008 Bloomfield Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26, 2008. Last year's event was wonderful and we want to make this year's parade even better! Please meet at the Sacred Heart Church Parking lot at 11am, please come looking your best and ready to participate. The attire for the parade will be Royal Blue t-shirts and Orange Raiders Shorts, these items can be purchased from Coach Donna at the Rec on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 6pm - 7:30. This is the ONLY day you will be able to purchase your outfit. The cost for the shirt is $12, the cost for the shorts are $8. Supplies are limited to first come-first served.

Volunteers are also needed to walk along side the cheerleaders during the parade and to donate water. Please bring cold water on the day of the parade.

Wher - e is cheerleading practice?

During the summer we practice outdoors at The Bloomfield Rec or at Carmen Arace School. Once school starts we move inside the Carmen Arace Gym, where practice is Tuesday - Friday.

Where are home games played?

All home games are played at the Bloomfield High School field.

How often do cheerleaders practice?

During the summer the teams practice 5 days a week. Summer practices begin August 1st and continue Monday through Friday, starting at 5:45, rain or shine. All games are held on Sundays.

Each year the cheerleaders participate in the CTYFL Cheer Competition. This is a day for the girls to shine and show the crowd what they have learned. We placed great emphasize on having a fun spirited day.

Age Groups For Youth Cheerleading:

Mighty Mites - 7-8 - takes presence over mascots
C squad - 9-10
B Squad - 11-12
A Squad - 13-14
Mascots - 6
Ages are on or before December 31 of the current year.

GAME TIMES:
B - TEAM GAME STARTS @ 9AM - ARRIVE AT FIELD AT 8AM
A - TEAM GAME STARTS @ 11AM - ARRIVE AT FIELD AT 10AM
C - TEAM GAME STARTS @ 1PM - ARRIVE AT FIELD AT 12 NOON
MM - TEAM GAME TIME @ 3PM - ARRIVE AT FIELD AT 3PM
