Welcome To The Bloomfield Raiders 2009 Season!

Dear Bloomfield Raiders Youth Football Parents and Guardians:

It’s hard to believe it’s time to start thinking about football and cheerleading already, but it is!  The 2009 early returning player registration information is enclosed.  Please fill it out and return it on the date listed below to insure a spot for your child/children.  No spots will be held, registration will be taken on a first come, first serve basic. Also, as we head into the 2009 season of Youth Football and Cheerleading, I would like to welcome you and personally invite you to get involved by volunteering in any way possible. We need your help in order to have a successful season.  We welcome parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and other members over the age of 14 to help with volunteering.  We are a volunteer organization whose goal it is to serve the children of the Bloomfield community with a structured athletic program. Our Board of Directors are all volunteers who work diligently to provide you with the services needed to help our participants in pursuit of the program goals.

One of our primary goals is to promote the physical well being and fitness of the youth and to educate them in the skill and fundamentals of football, cheerleading and other educational endeavors. Also this year we would like to improve communications between the BRYF Board, Coaching Staff and the families of the Raiders Organization. Our Website will be the most cost effective and efficient way to share important information, so please check it often for updates and announcements.

Also, please be aware when making your summer vacation plans that your child/children must attend all but one week of practice in August in order to participate in the program.  This rule is a result of too many late registrations in the past that left children unprepared for the start of the season.  Late registrations not only make certification extremely difficult, but also compromise the safety of our children.  And safety is our first concern.

Finally, I want to encourage you to talk up our program to all your friends and parents of teammates in other sports.  We want to boost our numbers this year, especially in cheerleading and the older football teams. I would like for every family to try to recruit one new child from Bloomfield this year. Let’s make this a great season!
